The Franklin County Warming Shelter is a community ministry that seeks to serve individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in Franklin County and the surrounding areas. The Shelter is hosted by the Redwood Outreach Center, a facility owned and operated by Redwood United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount, VA.
This ministry was created through a partnership between Lake Christian Ministries in Moneta, VA, and Redwood United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount, VA. We are grateful for the ongoing participation and encouragement of many local churches, STEP of Rocky Mount, the Franklin County Department of Social Services, the Martinsville Henry County Warming Center, and other nonprofits and community organizations that provide volunteers and support.
